The Halloween weekend will be a hell of spectical for costumes and treats of all sorts. I've been busy this week putting the last few touchs in place for my costume and getting ready for CFCC at Motorpoint arena. Should be a good weekend as I'll be selling comic, eating cookies and rocking out for the first time at a comic con in costume. I also just got these in the post today, ready for sale and to continue spreading my gaming ego throughout the world!
On a related note, the Chaos spawn I've been working on is nearly done. The sculpting is finished, now it's on to painting him and the rest of his freakish mates.
In addition, I've also started work on a little minion for a suitably huge warrior lord, He still needs an oversised backpack to complete the look. I figured this guy would just drag his master's spare war gear about and grovel occasionally.
And finally for this week, a War Pigeon (giant eagle) This is for our continuing Lord of the Rings campaign down Firestorm Games, though I've had to make a fair bit of repair work. The model was part of a junk lot at a bring and buy and had had it's head hacked off for a convertion. (I think I was lucky to still have all the parts at that stage) As a result, Ive been resculpting the feathers around it's neck. It's taking a bit of time, but it's new technique so the practice is good. Any flaws should hopefully get covered up once it's painted.
Until next time, Happy Halloween and all that nonsence.

Born of Bits and Chaos
Fisrt look at some of the Mutants and Mad Men project I've been working on. These were fished out of my massive box of spare parts and cobbled together to create Chaos Spawn. I've still got quite a bit of sculpting work on some of them, but a few are near close to finish.
This hansome fellow still requires a lot of extra work, but so far I'm liking how he looks.
Somewhere between a yhetee and a cartoon gorilla, but still a beast to be feared in my opinion.
And a mutant ogre to finish off.

A two headed mutant troll and his owner.... a goblin dressed as batman! Now there's a costume you won't see this halloween

A New Breed of Orc (and Goblin)
Again, little bit of a busy time in work and real life in general, but I finally got my band of self sculpted orcs and goblins painted. These took a little longer than planned, but I am super happy with the results. When I get a chance, I'll post a few in game shots to show off the scale against other minis, but for now here are the finished paint jobs.
I have done some minor alterations to the stock kits, but that was for my own enjoyment. head swaps and trophy poles, but nothing too complicated. For the most part, everything you see below can be done using the same kits (except the skulls)
A BIG thanks to Henry at KOTH wargames again for making this happen and I hope to see his future plans completed as well. He currently has a kickstarter for trolls on the go so get in on that.
I'm still working on my mutant horde army, but I've no pictures worth posting yet. I should have something next time.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Hey everybody, not really much of an update this week due being extra busy with work and a massive rebranding project. This doesn't mean any changes to the GLPblog itself, but it does men a few changes to other sites and social media outlets that I use. Top of the list of course was changing my business cards and here they are...
Needless too say with CFCC at the end of the month, I've been keeping the in house goblin minions busy with various demands and alterations. Mostly just slapping that Grinning insignia on any flat seface I own.
I've not been completely out of commission though. A few work in progress shots of the Orc Brutes from KOTH Wargames should keep everyone happy. Henry over at KOTH was responsible for getting me to sculpt up these bad boys and now I've been gifted with a bunch of them for my own use. Seems only fitting to get them painted and ready to stomp stuff.
Should have them finished for my next update.
